So once again I was studying in a library (Faculty of Law this time, since it was closer to my dorm) and this dude next to me was studying/reading this book. I'm so happy that I'm not a law student. You don't need to be smart to study all of their textbooks and shizzle, you just need to have the capacity of memorizing a tonload of books,..

I'm so glad I'm an engineering student; I need to study with insight instead of memorizing everything that's in a book. 

Studying like a boss

When I have to study, I study in style. Behold, the central library of the city where I'm studying to become an engineer. Normally I wouldn't say this about a f*cking library, but this one looks awesome (outside & inside). Need a break? Go play with an awesome frisbee on this huge ass plaza in front of the library with a couple of friends. Like I said; studying in style..

Just chillin'

Once again, my awesome dog. Just chilling in his basket, not giving a f*ck about it's size.

He sleeps in this thing every night. Couple of months back, I bought him a bigger one. He simply refused to sleep in it. So I put this one next to it and let him decide..

And here's the beer that caused my hangover of today..

Belgium is a country that doesn't excel in a lot of disciplines (however, they recently won the worldrecord of not having a government for the longest period of time). When you hear 'Belgium' you'll probably think about waffles, fries, chocolate and Jean-Claude Van Damme. A lot of you won't even know these few 'typical' things from Belgium. 

Belgium has, in my opinion, the best beers on the world. Sure, there are also lousy Belgian beers.. But beers like Westvleteren, Stella, Jupiler, Hoegaarden, Leffe, Duvel.. are beers you must've tasted at least once in your life. I'll go a bit further into that last one: Duvel.

But during the 1920s, an avid drinker described the beer as "nen echten duvel" (a real devil in BrabantianDutch) - perhaps in reference to its formidable alcohol content (8.5% ABV) - and the name of the beer was changed to Duvel. Engineering Technology

Today; 2 Citroen 2CV cars were standing at my collega entrance. Before I show you the pictures, I'll give a little background information:


The Citroën 2CV (French: “deux chevaux” i.e. “deux chevaux vapeur”, literally “two tax horsepower”) was an economy car produced by the French automaker Citroën between 1948 and 1990.^[1] It was technologically advanced and innovative, but with uncompromisingly utilitarian unconventional looks, and deceptively simple Bauhaus inspired bodywork,^[2] that belied the sheer quality of its underlying engineering. It was designed to move the French peasantry on from horses and carts. It is considered one of Citroën's most iconic cars. In 1953 Autocar in a technical review of the car wrote of "the extraordinary ingenuity of this design, which is undoubtedly the most original since the Model T Ford".^[3] It was described by CAR magazine journalist and author LJK Setright as "the most intelligent application of minimalism ever to succeed as a car".^[4] It was designed for low cost, simplicity of use, versatility, reliability, and off-road driving. For this it had a light, easily serviceable engine, extremely soft long travel suspension (with adjustable ride height), high ground clearance, and for oversized loads a car-wide canvas sunroof(which until 1960 also covered the boot).

A team of graduate students from my college made an elektric version and a hybrid version of said car to compete in races,...  I don't know much about their goals, specifications,... but I hope you'll be pleased with just seeing the result of their hard work,....

Gotta love beer

Hi there; welcome to my blog!

I will be taking 1 random picture each day and give a short explanation of why I chose to take said picture. First a little background information: I'm a 20 year old engineering student and I will be taking pictures with my Blackberry outside, during lectures,... each day and post it on here. Some will be funny; others might just be 100% random.

Since I'm not going to go outside anymore for today; my first picture is one of a poster that's currently on my wall here in my dorm. Some of these actually remind me of certain nights out when me and some friends "loved beer a little too much" if you know what I mean. For example, do never EVER play darts while drunk unless you're prepared to get hit with a dart or accept the fact that you will throw one (or 2) at someone else. Good times, good times. The life of a student is awesome!
